Due to popular demand Roll-Kraft is offering another one-day tube and pipe training seminar in Waverly, Nebraska entitled: “Back to the Basics and Beyond.” This one-day program will again cover the basics of mill integrity, alignment, set up and tooling maintenance as presented in previous presentations.
These “basics” never go away, and must always be maintained by everyone that is involved with a tube or pipe mill operation so as to develop a standard for all to follow. The instruction is recommended as a refresher for the seasoned operators, as well as an introduction to the understanding of these topics for the new operators, and related personnel that are new to the industry.
Everything is presented in a clear understandable format with audience participation encouraged throughout the entire day. This interaction with the attendees, combined with the PowerPoint presentation, and seminar guide books, offers one of the most comprehensive and successful ways to train your personnel.
Robert A. Sladky, Vice President of Tube Mill Engineering will present the program. Robert was the recipient of the 2003 TPA Industry Education Activities Award in recognition of his outstanding work in the field of tube and form production. He recently entered his 41st year serving the tube and pipe industry.
Once again, Roll-Kraft’s own Robert Sladky and Bret Molnar will be presenting at this year’s FABTECH conference in Chicago at McCormick Place. They will be presenting “Forming Stainless Steel on Tube and Pipe Mills.” The presentation will take place on Monday, November 18, 2013 from 10:30AM-12:30PM.

Mentor, OH – September, 2012
Roll-Kraft, a leader in tube and pipe and roll forming education, will once again be sending its own experienced instructors, Robert Sladky and Bret Molnar, to FABTECH 2012 as presenters. Together, they have over 74 years of combined experience in the tube and pipe industry. Mr. Sladky will be the session leader for the “Reducing Scrap on Tube and Pipe Mills” presentation that will take place on November 13 at 8AM.
This session will address key factors that affect scrap, such as validating incoming material, proper end welds, mill configuration, roll designs, integrity and alignment, cooling, preventative maintenance programs, proper setup, documentation, and tooling maintenance programs. Participants will learn how to identify problems and implement corrective measures that will build morale, improve product quality, reduce scrap, and produce greater profits.
Last year at FABTECH, Mr. Sladky and Mr. Molnar presented, “Tube and Pipe Mill Setup, Tooling Design Evaluation and Problems and Solutions.” The session was well attended and was greatly beneficial, as indicated by the many comments received. This year’s session will continue to provide on-going education to mill operators and industry personnel, as everyone moves towards the goal of producing superior products and reducing waste.
FABTECH is North America’s largest metal forming, fabricating, welding, and finishing event. This year’s gathering takes place November 12-14 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. For more information and to register, visit http://www.fabtechexpo.com/.
